Just 5 miles south of Newbury, Highclere Castle was built in 1679 and is the country seat of the Earls of Carnarvon.

The park was designed by Capability Brown in the 18th century and has been described as the best country park in England.
The castle has famously been used as a filming location for several films and television series and achieved international acclaim as the main location for the ITV historical drama series Downton Abbey.
